Cleaning humor - cartoons about household chores, tidying up and other stuff that we just love to do......yeah right....
This collection of cartoons came about where I was trying to sort out all the stuff that was cluttering up my apartment. I had been reading a lot about minimalism, and thought that this would be a really neat thing to do. I didn’t realize when I started out how hard it would be to de-clutter and how attached I was to all of the junk that I had accumulated over the years.
As I find it far easier, and far, far more enjoyable to wield a pencil rather than a brush, it has taken me a while get the apartment together. As I toiled away I came up with a bunch of ideas for cartoons which I just had to draw using the tricky justification that if I don't draw it now I'll forget about it, and thus the de-cluttering progress was somewhat slow.
Nature abhors a vacuum. And so do I. ~Anne Gibbons
There was no need to do any housework at all. After the first four years the dirt doesn't get any worse. ~Quentin Crisp, The Naked Civil Servant, 1968
My idea of housework is to sweep the room with a glance. ~Erma Bombeck
Cleanliness is next to impossible. ~Author Unknown
They're sure housework won't kill you, but why take the risk? Author Unknown
The obvious and fair solution to the housework problem is to let men do the housework for, say, the next six thousand years, to even things up. The trouble is that men, over the years, have developed an inflated notion of the importance of everything they do, so that before long they would turn housework into just as much of a charade as business is now. They would hire secretaries and buy computers and fly off to housework conferences in Bermuda, but they'd never clean anything. ~Dave Barry
